SCOPE:
Operates plastic extruder to produce finished goods which meet customer's specifications and to perform other task incidental to preparing products for delivery to customers.
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Running extruder to produce finished goods requested by customer.
Reads production sheet to determine what part is to be produced.
Starts up extruder and assembles appropriate machine parts and die.
Fills machine hopper with raw material and keeps it full during production run.
Perform quality checks by taking samples and comparing with blue print and measuring with calipers.
Make machine adjustments to maintain specifications.
Saw parts to length or drill holes in parts on production line.
Package finished goods.
Assemble boxes, spools and skids.
Package finished goods on spools and/or in boxes and/or on skids.
Housekeeping:
Maintains clean and orderly work area by keeping tools and equipment in proper places and all materials off the floor.
Performs other routine duties as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / SKILLS:
